Foreign students can apply to 1st cycle courses of the University of Lisbon and should satisfy the same conditions which are mandatory for national students. The applicant undergraduate students must:

1. Have a certification of secondary education completion;
-The applicants holding foreign secondary school certificates must require the equivalence of the degree at a Portuguese Secondary Education institution with pedagogical autonomy.

2. To have completed the university access examinations relevant to the course that the student is applying, with the required classification;
- For students who hold non Portugueses courses legally equivalent to the Portuguese secondary school, the entrance exams can be replaced with final exams of those disciplines courses, provided that certain conditions are met in accordance with Article 20.º-A of the Decreto-Lei n.º 296-A/98, de 25 de Setembro, in the updated version by the Decreto-Lei n.º 90/2008, de 30 de Maio.

3. To have an application mark equal to/or greater than the minimum set for the course to which you are applying.

4. To satisfy the pre-requisites relevant to the course that the student is applying, in case these are established.
