The ALFA (Latin America - Academic Training) is a community program of cooperation within the framework of higher education between the European Union and Latin America.
The participating countries are the Member States of the European Union and the following 18 Latin American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Objectives
Helping to improve the quality, relevance and accessibility of higher education in Latin America.
Contributing to the regional integration process in Latin America, provided the breakthrough for the creation of a common area of higher education in the region and exploiting its synergies with the European Union system.
